
Dr. Andrew Behrendt
Associate Teaching Professor, Department of History and Political Science
Biography
Dr. Andrew Behrendt is a historian of modern East Central Europe, with specialization in the cultures and societies of the Habsburg Empire, Hungary, and Austria. However, his teaching — and personal interests– have taken him farther afield, into food history and video games as a historiographical medium.
Originally from Chicagoland, Dr. Behrendt has been teaching at S&T since 2018. Before that, he was Academic Advisor at the Center for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Pittsburgh and Program Coordinator/NewsNet Editor for the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES).
