Research

The S&T Energetics Research Team at Missouri University of Science and Technology is a group that specializes in a range of explosive research. The team was founded by Dr. Johnson in 2015 and has since developed multiple test facilities and has expanded S&T’s explosives research capabilities and interests. Advised by Dr. Catherine Johnson, the team is comprised of undergraduate and graduate researchers. In addition to group research, these students are working towards educational and career goals in the field of Explosives Engineering. S&T is one of the only Universities in the US that offers undergraduate minors, masters and certificates in Explosives Engineering and it is the only university with an Explosives Engineering PhD program.
