Biography
Dr. C. J. Lungstrum received his B. S. in Applied Mathematics from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2011, his M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Rochester in 2014, and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Rochester in 2019. After that, he joined the Department of Mathematics at Virginia Tech as an instructor. In 2023, he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Missouri University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Teaching Professor. During graduate school, he received the Chancellor’s Fellowship as a graduate student at Missouri S&T and earned a departmental teaching award at the University of Rochester. He helped organize a very successful Math Club at Virginia Tech and organized the Virginia Tech Regional Math Competition (VTRMC) which had participants from across the USA.
