Missouri University of Science and Technology, with support from the National Science Foundation, is offering travel assistance grants of up to $1,250 to support students and early career researchers attending the workshop. Travel grants are to support in-person attendance August 6–7, 2025, on the Missouri S&T campus in Rolla, Missouri, USA.
Eligibility & Priority:
- Open to students currently enrolled in an academic department (faculty certification required).
- Early career researchers include postdoctoral fellows and assistant professors.
- Priority will be given to applicants presenting an oral presentation or poster.
- If funding remains after student and early career requests are fulfilled, other participants may be considered.
Funding Details:
- Maximum reimbursement: $1,250.
- Covered expenses: transportation (airfare, rental car, mileage), lodging, and per diems (for meals not provided at the workshop).
- Registration fees will be waived for all travel grant recipients and should not be included in the budget.

- Include a reasonable estimate of travel expenses to justify your request.
- For students, upload a support letter from your advisor as certification of student status (if applicable).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Reimbursement Process:
- Travel assistance will be awarded after the workshop.
- Recipients must submit documentation of attendance and presentation within 14 days of the workshop’s conclusion.
- Detailed instructions for submitting receipts and documentation will be provided on the workshop website and during the event.

This application also serves as your registration for the conference. If the travel grant request is accepted, we will register you at no cost.
