Important Results
Since 2013, EOR Data team has been working on various types of EOR, collecting/correcting data based on biannual EOR Survey from Oil & Gas Journal, SPE publications, DOE research reports, and any other resources available to us. By June 2018, we have studied the following EOR types via conventional screening analysis and advanced analysis methods:
- Conventional EOR Screening Criteria Updates
- EOR field projects reported by EOR Survey : coverage of 1998 to 2012, total of 726 projects, data quality problems checked;
- Steam flooding: coverage of field projects from 1980 to 2012, total of 626 projects;
- Polymer flooding:
- coverage of field projects from 1978 to 2014, total of 300 projects, field projects from China included;
- coverage of lab experiments from 1964 to 2013, total of 329 records in the dataset;
- Surfactant polymer flooding:
- coverage of field projects from 1905 to 2007, total of 42 projects;
- coverage of lab experiments from 1970 to 2013, total of 29 projects and 261 records in the dataset;
- covarage of lab experiments from 2003 to 2015 for surfactant induced wettability alternation in carbonate reservoirs, total of 19 projects with 199 records in the dataset;
- CO2 EOR:
- coverage of CO2 miscible field projects from 1971 to 2016, total of 207 projects;
- coverage of CO2 immiscible field projects from 1968 to 2017, total of 35 projects with 41 records in the dataset;
- Particle gel EOR:
- coverage of field projects of gel treatment for water shutoff in production wells from 1990 to 2012, with total of 33 projects and 160 records in the dataset;
- coverage of field projects of weak gel treatment in injection wells from 2001 to 2010, total of 31 projects;
- coverage of field projects of in-situ polymer gel for injection well conformance control from 1978 to 2015, with total of 111 projects;
- coverage of field projects for preformed particle gel from 2001 to 2015, total of 113 projects with 225 records in the dataset;
- coverage of field projects for microgels from 2005 to 2016, with total of 154 records in the dataset;
- Low salinity water flooding:
- coverage of field projects from 2010 TO 2016, total of 10 projects;
- coverage of lab experiments from 1955 to 2017, total of 51 projects with 474 records in the dataset.
