Dr. Olanrewaju Fatoba

Biography

Dr. Olanrewaju Fatoba is currently an Assistant Research Professor in Mining & Explosives Engineering Department at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He holds a PhD in Analytical & Environmental Chemistry from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He has several years of teaching and research experience. Dr Fatoba has extensive experience in wastes beneficiation, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials for different applications. His previous research includes treatment of solid and liquid wastes (fly ash, acid mine drainage (AMD) and brine) generated from mining operations and coal combustion processes. Dr Fatoba’s research interests include recovery of critical minerals and rare earth elements (REE) from primary and secondary sources, synthesis of nanomaterials for different applications, removal of emerging organic micropollutants from wastewaters. He has published several journal articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has taught several chemistry and engineering related courses. Dr. Fatoba is a member of South African Chemical Institute (SACI) and Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (ANSLT).
