A phishing email was circulated to Missouri S&T email addresses today (Friday, July 17). The email subject line contained only the name of the individual the email was sent to, and the body of the email contains a phrase of ‘Please find attached – thank you!’ followed by a link to http://mst.edu.

Do not respond or click the link within. Please delete the email as this phishing attempt has been reported to IT Security.

All students, faculty, and staff are reminded to exercise a healthy skepticism when receiving suspicious emails and follow the proper process to report spam and phishing attempts.

IT thanks the many S&T students, faculty, and staff who properly reported the phishing attack and did not click the link or enter their information.
