Primary Research Interests

Atomic molecular and optical physics (AMO): Mean-field theory and nonlinear excitations in the form of matter wave bright solitons, dark solitons and vortices in single- and multi-component Bose-Einstein Condensates. Dynamics of matter wave solitons as well as vortices in many-body quantum systems, rogue waves, spinor systems, spin-orbit Bose-Einstein Condensates, dipolar interactions in bosonic mixtures, quantum phase transitions, quasiparticle formation, out-of-equilibrium dynamics, correlated quantum many-body systems, extended Gross-Pitaevskii equations investigating the existence stability and interactions of quantum bright and dark droplets (bubbles), as well as kink and antikink structures.

Other Research Interests

Classical nonlinear solutions in field theory: topological and non-topological solitons in field theories, localization of gauge fields in various models, mechanisms leading to stabilization of the latter, perturbation reductive methods leading to integrable models, topological defects and their interactions with gauge fields. Formation and dynamics of vortex lines and vortex strings, supersymmetric extensions of the above and dual theories.
