Message From the Vice-Provost and Dean of Libraries

Dear alumni, students, faculty and staff:

It’s officially my one-year anniversary as vice-provost and dean of libraries, and I am even more excited to start the semester than when I arrived in August of 2023. This past year has seen growth and many positive changes in collections, services and spaces. I can’t wait to see where we go this year and beyond!

Since mid-May, the exceptional faculty and staff of the university libraries have been busy preparing for the fall. We are looking forward to welcoming both new and returning students and faculty to campus and the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. This summer we’ve added resources and expanded reader spaces, and we are getting ready to introduce new services to support student success, teaching excellence and research efforts in support of our North Star goals and the university’s strategic plan.

I hope you enjoy this inaugural newsletter. We can’t wait to share more University Libraries news and notables with you in the coming months. Please reach out to me or any of our faculty or staff at any time – we would love to hear from you.
