Teaching

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that learning is a lifelong journey, and my role is to guide students along this path. I believe in creating an environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and the application of knowledge to real-world situations. I strive to make my classes interactive, engaging, and relevant to my students’ future careers and personal growth.

Courses Taught

Mechanics of Materials

Mechanics of Materials discusses the relationship between stress and strain on deformable solids; Applies analysis to members subjected to axial, bending, and torsional loads; Covers combined stresses and properties of structural materials. The course introduces students to the basic concepts of mechanics of materials and apply them to engineering problems.

Computer Methods of Structural Analysis

This course is aimed to develop sufficient competence in the analysis of physical structures to enable students to use and develop computer methods in structural analysis. By the end of the course, students will have developed the skills necessary to develop and use numerical methods in analyzing structures

Teaching Methods and Approaches

I employ a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles, including flipped classrooms, active learning, problem-based learning, and entrepreneurial mindset learning. I believe in a hands-on approach and incorporate real-world examples and case studies wherever possible.

Student Engagement

I encourage student engagement through active participation in discussions, group projects, and presentations. I also offer virtual office hours and am always open to questions and discussions outside of class time.

Office Hours

Following are the open office hours. In addition, if the door to my office is open and I am in, feel free to come in. You can also schedule a Zoom meeting through email.
