If two members of a household are both retirees, only one $15 dues fee is required, but please fill out a form for each retiree.
Letter of Invitation
Congratulations on your recent retirement. We would like to invite you to join other Missouri S&T and UMR retirees for luncheons, picnics, and updates on campus activities.
We meet monthly eight times a year starting in September (no meeting in December), our most popular programs are the presentations by a representative from the UM Benefits Office, typically in October, and from Chancellor Dehghani and President Choi. Members are invited to submit ideas for programs. We try to include programs that focus on S&T student projects and S&T faculty research.
The luncheons and picnics provide a time to visit with friends and discuss issues of importance to retirees. Your concerns are conveyed to the UM President two times a year when three officers representing our organization travel to Columbia to meet with representatives from the other three campus retiree organizations, as well as meet with the UM Benefits staff.
Except for our picnics, we meet at the Innovation Lab, which is the newest building on campus and is connected to the south side of the Havener Center, on the second Monday of each month starting in October. Lunch is served at noon. Parking will be available in the underground parking garage on campus located a few steps from the Innovation Lab. The entrance to the garage is just off the roundabout on the west side of campus. Luncheons cost $15.00 each. Dues for the organization are a real bargain at $15.00 per year, but the first year is free for new retirees. We will have picnics at Lions Club Pavilion #5 in September and May this year. The picnics will begin at 5 PM. The meat for the picnics will be provided. Drinks will also be provided and members will be asked to provide a side dish, salad, or dessert. We also request a $5.00 donation to help cover our costs.

You will be called approximately 10 days before each meeting to make a meal reservation. Spouses and other guests are welcome. We need to know who will be attending to order food and keep our costs under control. We look forward to seeing you at our meetings.
