Investigators

Dr. Xiaosong Du is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he heads the Physical Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (PHLAI Lab). He is a research investigator at the Intelligent Systems Center and the Center for Biomedical Research. He serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Innovation Sciences and Sustainable Technologies. He is also Guest Editors of special issues for Mathematics journal and Processes journal.

Dr. Xiaosong Du was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan before joining Missouri S&T in Fall 2022. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree majoring in Aerospace Engineering at the Iowa State University in 2019. He obtained his Master’s degree in 2014 and Bachelor’s degree in 2011 both majoring in Aerospace Engineering at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, respectively.
