Having just began my journey in Amateur Radio in 2022, I acquired my Extra Class License in Fall of 2023. Under the call-sign of KD9VSG I have been able to get heavily involved in the hobby.
Initially, I was introduced to the meat of the hobby through my college club (W0EEE), but quickly began to realize I thoroughly enjoyed everything associated with radios.
Before college I had not even considered the possibility of becoming an electrical engineer, however, as the first year progressed, I realized just how interested I truly was. After learning about everything that the amateur radio hobby touched, from PCB design to reflecting signals off the moon, I realized that I wanted to do something different in my future career.
To date I have worked on many projects in amateur radio from satellite communications to lightweight setups for POTA. Also, I have had the opportunity to work at many different rally car races in Missouri as a member of the team that establishes local communications for the different stages.
Altogether the Amateur Radio club has made quite the impact on my life and future goals.
