Hello all! It’s September and classes are back in the swing of things. I’m currently teaching History of Technology (History 2510) and Architecture, Technology and Society, 1750-present (History 4550). Both classes are off to a great start. On the research front I had an article accepted for publication in Mining History Journal on the history of the Mining School in the United States. If you are wondering, yes, Missouri S&T began as a mining school! I’m also presenting at the Western History Association annual meeting on the history of Midwestern mining infrastructure in a great panel organized by a fellow mining historian, Brian Leech at Augustana, University.
