Publications

Your publications are automatically catalogued by the library into your SelectedWorks profile, so it may be simplest to link the Publications button in your menu directly to this page.

You can find the link to your profile by visiting the SelectedWorks Faculty Author Gallery and scrolling to your name. Copy the URL it takes you to, then visit the Appearance > Menus option here in WordPress. Remove the Publications menu item, then to the left, create a Custom Link menu item called Publications linking to your profile. Add this to the menu, drag to reorder if desired, then save the menu.

If you prefer to show your works on another platform, the procedure is the same as linking to SelectedWorks above. Retrieve the URL for your publications listing, then remove the link to this page under Appearance > Menus in WordPress and replace it with a Custom Link button to the desired URL. If you have an RSS feed of your publications, you can include that on this page by adding a block in the Gutenberg editor (hover until you see a + sign, click, then search for the RSS Feed block type). A list of links to your publications will flow onto the page and automatically update when new publications are available.

If you have an embeddable list of publications through a third-party service, you can use either the Gutenberg iframe block type or the Gutenberg Custom HTML block type to include those on this page. Edit the page, then add a block to the Gutenberg editor (hover until you see a + sign). If your embed is a single iframe tag, select an iframe block type. If your embed is a more complicated block of code, choose the Custom HTML block type.

If you have a preferred format for your publications and would like complete control in how they’re listed, you can always enter them yourself on this page. Simply delete this accordion and begin editing with any block types you like.
