It is a great honor to receive the Faculty Excellence Award this year.
I am more excited and happier than the Research Award last year as it is about all areas of a faculty job; research, teaching, and service over the past 5 years.
Since I joined S&T in 2019, I have always felt like I could do better if I can focus on one of them and never satisfied with my performance on any of areas. I think any faculty members would be sympathetic to my feeling. However this award probably tells me that I did a decent job so I am relieved.
Now it is just so obvious that I owe a lot to my colleagues, collaborators, mentors, family, and friends for this achievement. So I’d like to thank you for all of your support.
