Scholarships in STEM at Missouri S&T
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Sponsored by the National Science Foundation

About the Program
The S-STEM Scholarship Program is designed to provide participating scholars with an opportunity to engage in research at Missouri S&T.
The program is funded by a six year, $1.5M grant from the National Science Foundation and builds on the success of an earlier four-year, $600K award.
Three cohorts of nine students each will be recruited from sophomores in CpE or EE at S&T.
Each scholarship will be for up to $10,000 per year, with the amount determined based on demonstrated financial need. Scholars will be eligible for two subsequent scholarships, through the end of their BS (up to three years total). Enrollment in the accelerated MS program in CpE or EE will add a fourth year of eligibility.
In this time, they will be provided with faculty mentoring, academic and professional development support, research opportunities, and information about graduate study, with the goal of motivating and empowering them to i) gain desirable employment after graduating with a BS or preferably ii) enroll in the accelerated MS program in their senior year.
