Subdomain Qualification
Some sites representing official campus entities or organizations may be eligible for an upgrade to an mst.edu subdomain. Your site will look the same and edit the same; however, instead of a sites.mst.edu/<your site> URL, your site will be at <your site>.mst.edu.

- Research groups
- Student organizations
- Greek organizations
- Design teams
- Conferences
- Symposiums
- Laboratories
- Major university initiatives
Would Not Qualify
- Personal sites
- Faculty profiles
- Class sites
- Most event sites
Subdomain Requests
Subdomain upgrades are by request and granted on a case-by-case basis. Your subdomain may not exactly match your site name in cases where the subdomain is already taken, is too general, or is likely to be used by another initiative.
