Biography
victoria l. braegger is an Assistant Professor of Technical Communication at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her research is at the intersection of game studies and technical communication, with expertise in usability, identity, digital design, peripheral and hardware design, and online communities. She is currently investigating the user experiences of women and marginalized communities with gaming peripherals. Her work has been published in The Journal of Multimodal Rhetorics and SIGDOC Conference Proceedings, as well as in edited collections such as The Ethics of Playing, Researching, and Teaching Games in the Writing Classroom and the forthcoming Historiographies of Game Studies: What it Has Been, What it Could Be. She is passionate about public scholarship and games preservation; she currently cohosts the Not Your Mama’s Gamer Podcast and is the Senior Assistant Regional Director for the Learning Games Initiative Research Archive.
