From Missouri S&T eConnection titled: Wunsch invited to speak at IEEE Symposium in Singapore
Dr. Donald C. Wunsch II, Mary Finley Missouri Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, represented S&T through several presentations at the IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence this week, Dec. 4-7, in Singapore.
Wunsch presented:
- A plenary speech “Lifelong Learning on the Edge with Adaptive Resonance Theory and Incremental Cluster Validity Indices.”
- A keynote speech “Incremental Clustering Validity Indices: Real-Time Assessment of Unsupervised Learning for Explainable AI.”
- An oral paper presentation coauthored by Tao Wu, a Ph.D. student in computer engineering, Tony (Tie) Luo, associate professor of computer science, and Wunsch, titled “Learning Deep Representations via Contrastive Learning for Instance Retrieval.”
He also served as a panelist for a discussion titled “Artificial and Computational Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges.”
Wunsch is also founding director of the Kummer Institute Center for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems at Missouri S&T.
