Teaching

I offer a range of courses related to modern European history that engage with different perspectives and time periods. Understanding individual experiences are central to all the classes I teach. In addition to courses listed in the course catalog, I have developed special topics courses on the History of Africa and three study abroad courses: History of London and Paris (London study abroad); Politics and Culture in Twentieth-Century Europe (London study abroad); and The Memory of War in Twentieth-Century France (France study abroad.)

I regularly participate in teaching professional development and am certified to teach courses online. My teaching has been recognized with commendations, an Outstanding Teaching Award, and multiple Faculty Teaching Awards. I enjoy mentoring students on honors projects, senior projects, and undergraduate research.
