Double Master Joel Peacher

Biography

Joel Peacher is a university lecturer with a multidisciplinary background and a genuine passion for teaching and science outreach. After earning his M.S.T. in Physics and M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Missouri S&T in 2013, he joined the physics department as a lecturer. Since then, he has been introducing S&T students to the foundational principles of physics.

Joel believes in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment, where students genuinely enjoy learning. He particularly enjoys teaching engineering students because of their enthusiasm and eagerness to tackle challenging physics problems.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Joel is actively involved in science outreach efforts. He has been instrumental in bringing science to the public, organizing events such as liquid nitrogen demonstrations and the annual Science Olympiad competition for middle and high school students held at S&T. He finds working with these young and inquisitive minds incredibly rewarding, as he believes they hold the potential to shape a better future.
