Dr. Jillian Schmidt

Associate Teaching Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Biography

Dr. Jillian Schmidt is an Associate Teaching Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T. Since starting at Missouri S&T in 2015, she has taught a wide variety of courses in the mechanical and aerospace engineering programs. Her main research interests include team dynamics in design courses and implementation of active learning and flipped classroom strategies.

She is a faculty mentor for Missouri S&T’s Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Team and an advisor for Sigma Pi Fraternity and the Biomedical Engineering Design Team.
