Biography

Dr. K. Krishnamurthy received his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, India, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees also in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. He is currently a Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) and has been a faculty at Missouri S&T for the past 36 years.  Starting as an assistant professor, Dr. Krishnamurthy has risen through the ranks and held various positions of increasing responsibilities and served in a number of different administrative capacities, including Associate Chair for Graduate Affairs in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Affairs in the School of Engineering and Vice Provost for Research.

A recipient of several teaching awards at Missouri S&T, Dr. Krishnamurthy has also received the Faculty Service Excellence Award from the Missouri S&T Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers.  He has served as a Boeing A. D. Welliver Faculty Summer Fellow and as an Associate Editor for Control and Intelligent Systems, an international journal. He is currently serving as an ABET EAC Program Evaluator.
