Dr. Rachel Schneider

Biography

Dr. Rachel Schneider is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of English and Technical Communication at Missouri S&T. She holds a Ph.D. in English from The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Schneider’s current research agenda is focused on pedagogy as well as comic studies.

At S&T, Dr. Schneider teaches courses on writing and research (ENGL 1160), British literature (ENGL 1211, ENGL 1212), comics and graphic novels (ENGL 2232), and fantasy literature (ENGL 2244). Previously she has also taught first-year composition (ENGL 1120) and an upper-division course on eighteenth-century British literature (ENGL 3215).

In addition to her work, Dr. Schneider enjoys her cat, binge-watching TV, and public service.
