Biography

Shane Epting is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. His research applies the ancient wisdom of philosophy to modern technology, focusing on topics like smart cities and the good life. He takes a human-centered approach to environmental issues, examining how resilient buildings and infrastructure can safeguard people against severe weather. Epting is also an award-winning researcher and professor who brings his passion for discovery into the classroom. He frequently teaches courses in Business Ethics and Engineering Ethics.
