Biography

Marco Cavaglià specializes in experimental and theoretical gravitational physics as well as astrophysics. His research interests include gravitational waves (theory and detection), classical and quantum models of gravity, astrophysics and cosmology, quantum field theory.

  • 2016 Special Breakthrough Prize for the detection of gravitational waves. Shared with Ron Drever (Caltech), Kip S. Thorne (Caltech), Rainer Weiss (MIT), and the LIGO Scientific Collaboration.
